Review of The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) by Gretta H — 09 Nov 2009
Some parts of the film were incredible, yet others were dull. I felt like there were many hated qualities of both characters, but they redeem themselves a lot in the end. But most of the movie I felt like they were just misogynistic and inconsiderate jerks.
All in all, it was a very interesting film. The cinematography is beautiful, and they do a great job of showing both characters as human beings with their own flaws, but for Ernesto, we see that he is truly full of heart.
I highly recommend watching this movie before watching Che. Not only was it great to show Che, but we really see it as a coming of age tale, and what really made Che tick in adulthood.
