Review of The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) by Dipak B — 23 Nov 2010
Great movie! The cinematography is breathtaking and really demonstrates the sheer beauty of the varying climates and landscapes of South America. Garcia Bernal does a wonderful job as the young Che Guevara.
Most of the movie is light-hearted, though you do get a peek at what may have stoked the revolutionary flames in Guevara's heart when he meets poor, indigenous people. Still, it's not a downer of a movie and it's great fun to watch the youthful antics of Guevara and his friend.
