Maybe the Mothman is an angel? I agree with the professor's theory that there is a building tension to events. Only those who have been through some sort of tragedy can pick up on that bad gut feeling that something is going to happen.
Most people run and hide. Very few people get in front of it and try to stop it. Even fewer succeed. What would you do? Would you accept that bad things happen to good people, and look away? Would you try to help those you care for?
