Review of The Mothman Prophecies (2002) by Michael W — 17 Jun 2011
The Mothman Prophecies is one of my favorite movies. The movie is well directed and acted. I find what stands out is the story. Richard Gere sees an entity during his wife's sickness and death but dismisses the occurrences.
Two years later, Gere is driving and mysteriously ends up in the Town of Point Pleasant where sightings of the entity occur. The movie asks the questions about evil, super natural, and questions one's beliefs.
I will not ruin the movie by divulging more of the story. The Mothman Prophecies is not the usual formulated predictable movie. I give Mothman a full five stars.
