A new year at Rebeccaâ(TM)s (Bolger) school began and everything seemed alright. That is, until new girl Ernessa (Cole) shows up. Very slowly, mysterious things begin to happen, which result in Rebeccaâ(TM)s friends leaving and in some cases even dying. Rebecca is convinced that Ernessa is behind all this, but no one will listen or believe her.

Another title to join the list of movie attempts. The Moth Diaries had an interesting plot and started off well, however, the quality faded pretty quickly. This is from horrible acting and a terrible script. Some scenes were so pathetic that it tempted me to leave the theatre. In other cases, some parts were interesting, they just never lasted that long to grab a viewer. Another lame part of this movie was the dependency on typical horror movie cliches. This could have been a lot scarier than it actually was! However, a viewer encounters cheap music cues, scenes that are highly predictable, and characters that fail to scare you. Overall, The Moth Diaries is ruined from contrived performances, horrible screenwriting, and typical horror movie scares.

For a few minutes, I thought this was going to be fun and enjoyable. Well, I was wrong because most of the film was filled with meaningless talking and lame suspense scenes. Some times the cinematography worked, most of the time it did not. I highly recommend skipping this one, and suggest renting it. However, I really donâ(TM)t suggest seeing it at all. I give The Moth Diaries a one out of five stars.
