Review of The Most Dangerous Game (1932) by Lizzy D — 22 Aug 2008
Severely solid thriller. the count was a real creepy oddball and stood out from the rest of the cast with an interesting back story.
The only thing was that the storyline really didn't work in making you root for the "blank paper" hero. either the actor or character was completely lacking in either charm or a good performance overall.
But I must say that this film stands out of the 30`s era as some of the best from the period, only surpassed by King Kong. buy the Criterion version , it has a decent transfer.
