Review of The Mosquito Coast (1986) by Jana H — 10 Apr 2008
Very original and interesting premise and Harrison Ford gives one of his best performances that I've seen. The enjoyment lies in watching his madness evolve because he is already eccentric at the beggining but the twist lies in how this eccentricity manifests itself.
After all, some of his ideas/actions can be admired before they go too far. The film also has a very interesting worthwhile rant against consumerism in America. - 4 Stars.
