Review of The Mosquito Coast (1986) by Daniel G — 27 Feb 2010
A great drama about an idealistic genius whose disgust for modern society and desire to create a utopia lead him and his family to shed everything they can't carry and move to the jungle of central america. he eventually succumbs to megalomania and a messiah complex, putting his family in jeopardy.
Great exploration of the evolution of an idea and it's unintended but seemingly unavoidable consequences. probably one of the best roles i've seen harrison ford in.
