Review of The Mosquito Coast (1986) by Matt M — 22 Jun 2013
A brilliant and obsessive inventor, fed up with the capitalistic world, moves his family to an isolated Caribbean island with a dream of ambition. Admirable adventure drama that touches up on interesting themes of obsession and a child's loss of innocence.
Harrison Ford seems particularly inspired in his portrayal of an unlikable character while admittedly, the film loses momentum in its final part.
