Review of The Mortal Storm (1940) by James H — 22 Apr 2010
84/100. A very powerful and moving story and beautifully acted by all, especially Margaret Sullavan and Frank Morgan, who delivers one of his finest performances. Tragic, touching and very memorable. It shows how effective a war propaganda film can be.
Great score. This film prompted Nazi Germany at the time to ban all American films.
