Review of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013) by Chase M — 25 Jan 2014
I'm 17 and work at a library and we always get the new releases of movies when they come out, so when we got Mortal Instruments I decided to give it a whirl since I read the book about 3 years back.
By the end of the night my family was satisfied as usual, but I left feeling like I'll never get that hour and a half back into my life. If I could describe how badly this movie ruined my experience of the book, I'd tell you but I couldn't seem to find the right words.
I just felt the whole movie flying by in a sea of cliches, over-the-top drama, and a handful of unsolved mysteries. If you don't think I'd notice the ungodly combination of Harry Potter and Twilight then you're sadly mistaken.
