Review of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013) by Christopher K — 08 Nov 2014
A lot of faceless critic reviews pulling down the ratings of this movie, which was a helluva lot better than that garbage trilogy I like to stick my finger down my throat whenever referring to known as 'Twilight'. It's almost like they were paid off (Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.).
@AdamRoss' from the Aristocrat has to be the funniest. His arrogant presumption that none of the books and/or movies he listed ever took ideas from material that came before only highlights just how stupid some of these reviews actually are. @AlexRoss might want to go back and finish getting his high school diploma before he goes and posts something equally stupid again.
Despite what these alleged "critics" are saying, this movie was actually a pretty decent adaptation of Cassandra Clare's first novel in the 'Mortal Instrument' series. IMHO The real reason it failed was that it was released far to closely after the conclusion of the (barf) Twilight film series. That blame falls squarely on the studios greed as opposed to the movie, it's actors and director.
It's a shame that Hollywood won't be finishing the series.
