I can't believe that City of Bones did so poorly in the theaters. I have read 3 of the four books. At first, when I have read a book before watching the movie, I pick it apart because of changes they have made and parts they left out.
Then I take a step back. Why would anyone want to watch a movie in which they already know the ending? All of the "series" movies and shows have done the same thing. I now try very hard to view the book and the movie as separate entities.
Double the entertainment!! I truly love this movie.
