Review of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013) by Rougepanda — 27 Aug 2013
This below par book adaptation is not only poorly acted, miss-cast and badly adapted it barely resembles the story. The humour is gone, the chemistry is lacking and the best aspect of the book (ie the reveal of this unseen world) is glossed over. Only truly delusional fans of the series will praise this mess.
There was some good action and visual effects and I also acknowledge that the director had a limited time to introduce so much. But with a history like his we could have predicted this shallow interpretation when the source deserves more.
