Review of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013) by Tehe T — 28 May 2014
This clichéd written script is a dozer. The dialogue is laudable, the screenplay is a joke, and the acting is pathetic at parts. "I don remember what she made me forget " "if you wanted me to take my clothes off, then you just had to ask" are just some god awful lines from this terrible movie.
The YA genre needs to take a breather because this sucked. There has only been a couple of great YA genre movies and the rest have just been shit. This falls under the shit part and can't get its feet off the ground.
The plot is quite confusing, quite dumb, and even fails at its own premise. Some things are answered and some plot points aren't even finished. It was just a clutter fuck of a movie that failed on every note.
