I haven't read these books, but I can only hope they're infinitely less boring than this movie was. I couldn't sit through it. Maybe I just don't know enough of the background, but to me it was just Men In Black meets The Vampire Diaries meets Dawson's Creek to create a huge mess of teen angst-ridden paranormal dimwittedness.
I was not a fan.
