Review of The More the Merrier (1943) by I Don't Know W — 26 Mar 2011
I have a weakness for screwball comedies, not to mention the Earthy screen persona of Joel McCrea. I've always seen him as the blending of my two favorite actors of McCrea's era, Cary Grant and Joseph Cotten.
It's almost fitting that Grant chose to remake this one as his final film as McCrea, in a performance not to far removed from his roles in THE PALM BEACH STORY or SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS, seemed cast in a role that felt tailor made for Grant.
