Kudos to George Clooney for trying to make an old fashioned WWII war movie. I'm a sucker for these, so I can forgive more than probably most people. I'm fascinated by this period in history, so this stuff keeps my interest more than the average person.
It suffers from a lack of action, but the terrific cast makes up for weaknesses in the script and the story.
