Review of The Monuments Men (2014) by Andrew R — 15 Jan 2015
Once I found put that The Monuments Men is based on a true story it made the film a lot better. Still though there are a lot of problems with this film. With a great cast the outcome should have been a lot better.
There is no depth or meaning to this film. The whole time the monuments men are trying to find stolen art pieces of the world but in the end we don't even care if they find them or not because there is no character or story development.
In the end we finally start to get something from George Clooney but it falls short. Could have and should have been done a lot better. Cinematography is good as well as the acting.
