Review of The Monster Squad (1987) by Meg K — 02 Oct 2009
Practically ignored when it first came out, but now this gem is recognized by many as a classic. I saw it when it was first released in 87 and loved it then, now I am very proud to be among those that championed this fun monster movie from the beginning.
A group of young monster movie fans band together to battle the most famous monsters of all time lead by a very sinister Dracula, played by Duncan Regehr. A lot of fun, the flick plays it serious when it needs to but also provides plenty of laughs.
A little movie made with a lot of heart as oppossed to the souless blockbusters that pass as entertainment today."Wolfman's got nards!".
