Review of The Monster Squad (1987) by Zoe B — 23 Feb 2009
Here's some classic, monster mash fun that only Fred Dekker ("Night of the Creeps") and the late, great visual effects artist, Stan Winston, could provide. Think Goonies Meets The Mummy, Frankenstein, Wolfman, Dracula, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon.
An '80s homage to Universal horror of old, it's a cult classic that has developed a fan base not even the director could fathom. Oh, and what would this flick's review be without the inclusion of the infamous line, "Wolfman's got nards!"? This is a definitive to any Halloween movie marathon.
