It's a bit like the Goonies but with less talented child actors...thankfully the presence of monsters balances this out somewhat.
It's a great fun kids saving the day 80's movie and still fun to watch if only to laugh bemusedly at the great 80's dialogue and enjoy a member of the gang imaginatively nicknamed "Fat kid" kicks the Wolf-man in the balls, Frankenstien's monster screaming "BOGUS!" while punching Dracula.
