Here is a lame**s flick that's not very funny, amusing, or exciting. Monster Squad comes off as a third rate the Lost Boys meet the Goonies as a group of kids join together to fight monsters. The monsters are Dracula, Wolfman (looks like an owl), Swamp Thing, Mummy, and Frankenstein Monster.
As I saw this flick, I thought 'if those kids defeat the monsters, then I want my money back'. It will easily amuse the youngians, but it'll annoy older folks. I was not impressed although there was a character that intrigued me.
Most of the jokes aren't funny and the action and special effects are awful. I was pleased when Van Helsing came out and joined the monster again. I say skip this third rate flick.
