Review of The Monster Squad (1987) by Krisspics M — 16 Jan 2011
Classic 80's dream team with ALL the classic Universal monsters, featuring kids that talk and curse (just like real kids), parents who blow cigarette smoke in their kid's face (just like real parents), and a definitive answer to the age old question: Is the Wolfman equipped with a set of working genitalia? Uncle Rico reveals the answer the hard way (yes, that Uncle Rico). We may never see a studio make this kind of picture ever again (Kick-Ass was technically an indie).
Wayne Arnold's candy bar scene is immortal. There's more biting truth in those five minutes than in Cassavette's entire oeuvre. Would I lie?
(The answer is yes).
