Review of The Monster Squad (1987) by Jeff — 02 Nov 2009
What better time to be a child than when this movie hit the shelves? Referred to as the poor man's Goonies, The Monster Squad was the sci-fi/horror version of adventurous kids who get into too much mischief.
This movie was amazing it had everything, Monsters, Guns, Magic Jewels, Virgins, TNT, Non-virgins and Burger King. Everything a growing kid needs to get through the day. When dracula awakens and finds that a young child has Van Helsings diary, he calls for help from his other monster friends to retrieve the book and reign hell on earth.
Accompanied by Wolfman, Frankenstein's monster, the Mummy and Gilman, Dracula begins to reek havoc on the small town occupied by the young squad. they soon have to step up and fight off evil to save the world.
This movie should be on the shelf of every home in America. All I have to say is "meeting adjourned".
