Review of The Monster Squad (1987) by Ed Fucking H — 26 Feb 2011
Good clean horror fun for the entire family. Yes, it is 80's cheese but this is some gourmet Parmesan cheese on par with other childhood favourite like the Goonies. The deal is Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein, the Wolfman and the Creature from the Blue Lagoon have teamed up to unleash ultimate evil upon the world, and it is up to a team of nerdy 12 year old's (The Monster Squad) to save the day.
This is just good, light hearted entertainment,a nd a must see if you havent done so already. And as Flixster user PumpkinGetsASnakeBite pointed out the only people who are harmed in this film are indeed cops (that is if you don't count the monsters.
) Bonus points for that. Good times for sure.
