Review of The Monster (2016) by Mandi R — 26 Jan 2017
Much better than I expected it to be. Very different. It has a surprisingly well developed storyline for the main characters. This is one of the few movies where flashbacks actually help tremendously with its character development in a clever yet not confusing sort of way.
The music score in this was phenomenal and evoked strong feelings in the viewer, which allows them to really connect to the characters. I thought that this film was more sad than it was scary. That said.
..I still highly recommend it if your looking for something new with a fresh take on the creature feature concept.
