Fantastic conjecture about those who may have served as templates for characters in The Sun Also Rises- lovestruck forger, condom magnate, obituary hack, assorted hangers-on, Gertrude Stein and Hemingway himself.
The film easily transcends its Lost Generation trappings and has much to say about love, art and authenticity in general. Isham's soundtrack one of his best. Parlez-moi d'Amour...
