Review of The Mist (2007) by Jh K — 07 Oct 2012
My original review I gave 2.5 stars, "Not what I was expecting, I thought there would be more mystery involved with the story line and I think the film would've been more interesting and suspenseful if it wasn't so direct and upfront. But extra points go for very ballsy ending. Worth a look.".
Watching it again, I'm going to give it 3 stars. The story and characters are good and memorable, a lot of over-the-top acting but that's expected. I liked the general theme and idea of the film and gives you something to talk about when it comes to survival, group dynamics, race, religion, politics, social economic status, etc. The most disappointing was the CGI for the monsters; weren't convincing enough overall and there were many points in the film that could have easily been improved.
