All of a sudden, the Khmer Rouge is being brought to light to me through books and film. I was a child at the same time as these children who lived through this and I think of all the trivial problems I agonized over at that time.

having no idea what horrible atrocities others were enduring. it is hard for me to discover these things but it makes me appreciate all that I have. I am glad that this film has been made in order to help to complete the picture that was tried to be buried.
