Review of The Misfits (1961) by Craig B — 01 Aug 2008
A brilliant movie - for so many reasons. to take the POV of The Mustang. A symobolic yet mute character. The most pignet part of the film. Singlehandedly encapsulating the fight for freedom, Americana, a lost time and the vunerability of the soul.
Ten years later the wild mustang became legally protected but with a reversal of fortune from a (repulican) senator they are now legally rounded up and slaughtered. A film that needs to be revisited and given much much more credo.
