Review of The Miracle Season (2018) by Allen A — 20 Apr 2018
This is a great and wholesome movie that you can bring the family to see. One word though: It is important to know the true back story before seeing it. Why? Because this true story is so filled with impossible tragedy and victory that it is hard to believe.
Watch a video about the real life story before seeing the film, then you will appreciate the move more. I went with my eleven year old daughter and we loved it. Critics who are looking for something avant-garde will be disappointed because this movie is about straight forward deep cutting grief, the struggle of dealing with loss, and the experience of communal perseverance.
Nothing avant-garde here. Just the ancient miracle of grace and effort.
