Review of The Ministers (2009) by Paul L — 28 Mar 2010
While it's not the type of movie I had been led to believe, it's also not nearly as dreadful as I was expecting. Still, the movie is plagued with plot holes, gratuitous drama, a protagonist with shitty acting talent, unexplained transitions, and poor execution.
The direction isn't too bad, but most of the actors/actresses just can't pull it off decently. Only John Leguizamo and Harvey Keitel, obviously, had solid performances. But that was a given. Everyone else, you fail at life.
So far as story and plot goes, it isn't as cliche as I feared and the ending for me wasn't easily guessed.
