Review of The Million Dollar Hotel (2000) by Sean C — 25 Sep 2007
Mel Gibson steals this movie, giving one of his most memorable and widely unseen performances. The film as a whole has its ups and downs. The score by Bono (and others) is wonderful, as is some of the cinematography (esp the opening scene).
But Jeremy Davies's character alternates between sweet and annoying, and the problem with having a movie centered around a bunch of crazy people, is that they tend to get on your nerves pretty quickly.
