Review of The Million Dollar Hotel (2000) by Corey N — 13 May 2010
This was a odd film. Also sort of a let down for me. The film is about a hotel that has a murder. A FBI agent is investigating the murder. But the hotel is full of people with mental problems. So it is hard to get the correct facts.
The story focus is on one main character in the hotel. We sort of see the story through his eyes. But he has mental problems of his own. Also sort of a love story in the mix of the movie. The direction and flow of the movie was not that great.
The story could have been a little better. I wanted to see this since Bono from the rock band U2 had written the story. Plus the film has a good cast with Mel Gibson, Milla Jovovich, Jeremy Davies and Jimmy Smits.
But overall this film fails to deliver with the poor direction of the story.
