Review of The Mighty Ducks (1992) by Bastet 0 — 11 May 2008
This movie is great simply for the nostalgic value. Kids will probably still enjoy it but unless it was in your childhood memories, you probably can't enjoy it when you're older. The comedy is campy and the story is formulaic Disney- Coach hates kids and hockey and is forced to perform community service as a hockey coach (cause he played as a kid).
Kids don't like him at first. He and the kids end up bonding and going all the way to face off against the Coach's childhood team and the Coach that made him give up hockey in the first place.
Good family fun for everyone and I guaranteed to make your kid want to play hockey.
