I loved this movie as a kid. Watching it now is very nostalgic, even though it's corny and formulaic. What's still good about it? The score is fantastic. It's an inspiring feel good movie with a message.
This franchise started the trend of underdog sports films (even though Bad News Bears was first). Also, the franchise introduced many '90s child stars.
