Review of The Mighty Ducks (1992) by Ben B — 06 Aug 2009

Taking into consideration that it's a 90's kid's flick, there was sill something there. There were many a cheesy moment, and often I could tell the hockey players on the ice were not teenagers.

The story was made a little over-dramatic and quite unrealistic. The drinking and driving problem that led Gordon Bombay to coach the ducks never came up a second time. There were no other repercussions of his driving, because he never did it again.

If they had touched on this more, there might have been a more realistic feel to the whole piece, and it probably would have made the piece less boring, although it may have added a darker side to it as well.

Joshua Jackson does quite well, as do several of the young hockey players.
