This is barely a sci-fi movie. It's a movie about human drama. Dram occurring with a single scientist left at an arctic research facility. Drama happening with the crew of a ship returning from an exploratory mission to Jupiter and it's moons.
This story moves slowly, but it is a captivating sketch of a man's choices and regrets - Clooney's character. It is also about hope and second chances - the crew on the ship returning to Jupiter. If you're into cerebral movies then you will like this one.
