Don't ask me why, but this film is surprisingly good. The title alone makes it sound crap, but it's got some great acting, writing, and characters. Decent suspense. Nice detective-story plot.
Plus, the film's evolution from serial-killer flick, to descent-into madness flick, to conspiracy flick, to apocalyptic-cult-worshipping-demons flick was kind of trippy. I liked it. Reminded me of Asian cinema.
The ending was about as hard to miss coming as a hammer to the head, but there you go. I was still pleasantly entertained.
