Review of The Midnight Meat Train (2008) by Anthony W — 03 Mar 2010
Director Ryuhei Kitamura has done a pretty good job of making a horror movie effective and unsettling, with Vinnie Jones a suitably menacing, domineering villain character. The acting from the two main protagonist leads (Bradley Cooper and Leslie Bibb) is also commendable, and the story as a whole manages to avoid dissolving into anything too familiar, although some parts were padded out a bit too much.
You will need a strong stomach to cope with some of the wince-inducing violence.
