Review of The Midnight Meat Train (2008) by Margaret S — 26 Jun 2010
After seeing this movie, I was surprised to learn it didn't reach theaters, but I guess that's irrelevant. Overall, this film was a very creative addition to the horror genre. With a great storyline and an odd twist present, it was pretty enjoyable.
Not to mention that the death scenes were brutal to the point that they were hilarious. Like the Consensus says, this IS the type of movie that becomes a cult classic. This is not the best horror flick I've ever seen, but I have to say, it's definitely a step in the right direction.
Maybe from now on, horror films need to be based off of short stories or books? Just a suggestion. But I'd definitely suggest renting this just to see it for what it is.
