Review of The Midnight Meat Train (2008) by Daniel G — 19 Nov 2010
Hmm this movie does start out with a lot of mystery and a really good ode to older thriller movies, but to me it falls apart by the end of the film.
Bradley Cooper actually did a very good job, but at times there were moments in the film that seemed unnecessary. For instance why keep shooting someone with a camera when it's so obvious one glance up and your caught? Smh...just a thought maybe take some cover? I'm being nitpicky though.
There is a lot of gore in this film. The killer is a butcher so let your mind wander with that. There are some truly grotesque things that happen. I actually cringed a few times!
The only real gripe I have is the ending. Everything is kind of just thrown out at the end and is explained in about 4 minutes. It's believable to a point but definitely went against my expectations.
If your looking for a thriller/slasher give this one a rent it's only .99 cents on iTunes right now!
