This infomercial from Westinghouse was made in 1939 during the New York World's Fair, it shows off how great Westinghouse is, while telling a little family story about some conservative weirdos who come to the fair, and try to trick their daughter into dumping her liberal socialist boyfriend so she'll marry the less interesting more middle of the road Jim.

Jim is smug and an idiot who loves capitalist propaganda, and believes that all these machines can only create more jobs! We don't need to open up the Westinghouse Time Capsule to know how many jobs in industry have been lost to machines in the decades that have passed.

It is fun to see goofy crap like this, particularly when in retrospect all the viewpoints it tries to make look great seem silly with the current climate of industry.
