Review of The Meteor Man (1993) by Shawn R — 18 Mar 2010
A surprisingly poor satire about a timid, height-shy black school teacher who, after being hit by a (small) meteor, becomes a flying superhero. The cast gives the film better than it deserves, and even Townsend (who also wrote and co-produced) can't bring this film any more steam than it has (to say nothing of James Earl Jones, Bill Cosby, Don Cheadle, et al), which kind of makes it pointless, since even a star-studded cast needs something to do.
