Review of The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999) by Rachel H — 14 Sep 2007
A "medieval" adaptation by Luc Besson of his recurrent theme: a pure and simple-minded girl discovers that the world she lives in is rotten, and gets almost saved by a collection of weak but good-hearted cartoon-like male characters, still she suffers a lot in the process.
Talented filming but stupid result as usual with Besson.
