She probably was crazy but isn't that how legends are born? you go out of what others may perceive just so you can prove it. it isn't what you say that often matters how you believe in what you say that makes the difference.

this movie is all blood and gore but I love the battle scenes and the spirit jovovich adds to the character. a little bit melodramatic, but felt vehemently. I like the way they used dustin hoffman as "God" and how as everything justified her martyrdom.

when she was forced to sign by consequences to renounce what she once believed, I loved it when Dustin Hoffman's character said, "in the end it was you who betrayed him." martyrs may have lost their mind one way or another due to ecstasy of the visions they acquired but what makes them difference from those in the asylum, a greater force moves them to make a huge difference.

imagine a 14 year old peasant girl who never even met the dauphin was able to tell who he is. this maiden from orleans, who never had military experience who can neither read nor right was the hope and instrument for france to gain courage and get back what was theirs.
