Review of The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999) by Roy C — 27 Jul 2010
I am not sure why this movie was panned by so many critics. I love historical dramas and this one is a visual treat. Milla Jovovich is convincing as Joan (with a good ensemble cast) and the set design, cinematography, costumes, battle sequences etc are first rate.
Luc Besson should do more historical dramas like this.
