Review of The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999) by Todd L — 02 May 2011
Director Luc Besson installed his then-wife Milla Jovovich in the title role of this gritty portrayal of The Maid of Orleans, serving up two hours and a half of sword-rattling shenanigans. Only knowing the bare bones of the story, while i've read that this strays from historical fact, this shed more light on how a 19-year old came to be burned at the stake.
