Review of The Messenger (2009) by Adam R — 27 Jun 2010
A very powerful and moving picture about two soldiers who are given the task of informing the families of fallen soldiers that their loved ones have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's not an easy film to watch.
Some scenes are truly gut-wrenching, but it's one of the best films to tackle the current wars to date. In my opinion, it is a superior film to "The Hurt Locker.".
